Course: Appetizer
Keyword: appetizer, baked brie, brie, fig jam, holidays, pecans, snack
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 8oz brie round
  • ¼ cup fig jam
  • ¼ cup roasted & salted pecans chopped
  • fresh thyme for garnish
  • drizzle of honey optional
  • flakey sea salt for sprinkling
  • crackers or bread for serving
  • grapes for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350F degrees.
  • Add slits across the top of your brie. About 5 one way and 5 the other to make a criss-cross. This just helps the jam soak into the brie. In my video on my Instagram, I totally forgot to do this but you should!
  • Place your brie in an oven-safe dish. I used my 6in cast iron pan. Top brie with fig jam and cover the entire top. Then sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until warm and soft to the touch. Remove from oven, add a drizzle of honey (optional), and a sprinkle of flakey sea salt.
  • Serve with crackers or bread, a side of grapes, and fresh thyme for garnish. Enjoy!

Notes

For Storing: If bringing to a party, you could prep everything and then just throw it in the oven when you get there. After cooking, store in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the fridge. You can reheat in an oven safe dish in the oven if desired.
