This easy hearty Brunswick stew is a classic Southern American dish, known for its delicious and comforting flavors. This stew typically combines meats like chicken or pork with vegetables in a savory tomato-based broth, making it a perfect choice for chilly evenings or family gatherings. We used pork only and its safe to say we loved the recipe!
2cupschicken bone broth(or more for desired consistency)
1tbsphot sauce
1tbspWorcestershire sauce
½cupbarbecue sauce
1 tspsea salt
1tspblack pepper
Instructions
Heat dutch oven on medium high heat and add oil. Cook onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cooked pulled pork and mix well for another 1-2 minutes. Next add in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste and chicken broth. Stir together and add in spices and sauces; hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauce.
Bring soup to a boil. Once it comes to boil add frozen corn and lima beans. Cover pot and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh parsley or green onions.
Notes
For Storing: Store in airtight container for 3-4 days.
