Quick Steamed Green Beans

These quick steamed green beans are a family favorite! We love them, the kids love them, they're just so easy and the best. You can whip them quickly to have an easy side dish for any meal. I feel like steamed food gets a bad rep, but honestly I love steamed veggies. The trick is to make sure you add plenty of good olive oil or butter and lots of seasoning. It makes all the difference and brings out the flavor of the veggie in the best way!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz green beans I used organic haricot verts from Trader Joe's
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Trim your green beans if they aren't already. Steam however you do! We use a steamer basket!
  • Once they're steamed to your desired texture, pour them in a bowl with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Mix well, serve, and enjoy! We love to pair ours with our garlic rosemary pork tenderloin!

Notes

For Storing: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
