359d51_7ae68ab6a5754efaa539d7c2c900165f~mv2_d_3024_4032_s_4_2-1Hi there! Things have been a little hectic over here, but in the best way. The reality of our little guy coming very soon has left me with a LONG to do list & lots of loose ends I’m trying to tie up before he arrives. I realize once he gets here I’ll be out of commission for a bit! Like I said, all good things and so worth it because I cannot wait to meet the precious babe that’s been growing in my belly for about 9 months now 🙂 I also realize I might not getting my never ending to-do list done (anyone else love to make lists?), and I’m going to have to be okay with that. I’m doing the best I can and that’s all I can do.

If you guys can’t tell from my Instagram stories, Thomas & I are super close to our families! I have 2 brothers and 1 sister and Thomas has 2 sisters. Everyone lives close by so most of our time is spent with them. There are two baby girls on my side, and about to be a baby boy. Also, my brother’s wife is pregnant & due in September so we’re excited to find out the gender 🙂 Thomas’ side has 1 baby boy, 1 3-year girl old girl, and 1 5-year old boy. Needless to say, we are surrounded by kids and babies all the time! I’m so grateful and think it’s so amazing that we’re all having kids at the same time so they’ll all grow up together!

So, we celebrated both of my brother’s birthdays (one in March & one in April) with 2 cookouts/ fire pits and it was so fun! So nice that the weather is warming up so we could enjoy being outside. I made my first homemade cheesecake for them, and it was a HIT. So easy to make, it just takes time. I sadly didn’t get a picture but wish I did, because I was pretty proud. Here are some fun pictures from celebrating the boys! & my cute nieces, Harper and Juniper.

I’ve been eating lots of delicious things! I definitely have been loving sweet, but then I also love savory so not sure if I’m really one way or the other haha. I will be honest though, I really haven’t felt much like cooking. Like at all. I think because we have been so busy, running around, and doing stuff that I’m just exhausted. Also, I’ve noticed that I’m definitely more tired in my third trimester. Probably because I’m heavier and it’s harder to hold up the extra weight since my body isn’t used to it being there. Things have also been a bit harder to carry 🙂 Like heavy groceries, etc so running errands or carrying heavy things up from my car to our apartment (2 flights of stairs), hasn’t been appealing. Thankfully whenever Thomas is home, he NEVER lets me carry anything. He’s seriously the best! Anyway, here’s a bunch of yummy eats I’ve been into!

We ended up taking a last minute trip to Savannah! It was basically like a babymoon and it was fabulous. We went with my brother and his wife, and my cousin and his wife. Both girls are pregnant so 3 pregnant ladies and 3 soon-to-be-dad’s! It’s funny because Thomas grew up with my brother and cousin so it’s so amazing that they’re all having babies at the same time and super close together. June, July, and September. CRAZY! We walked, we ate, we rested, we laid in the sun, we explored, we ate lots of ice cream and chocolate, and lots of card games. Seriously so nice and just what we needed. We haven’t been on a vacation without an obligation (like a wedding or event) in awhile so it was fun to just do whatever we wanted! Here are some pictures from the trip!

Such a fun trip overall, but when we got home it felt so good. Sometimes I crave routine, but it’s usually the traveling and trips that make me appreciate my simple life at home even more. This past weekend, our church threw us the cutest baby shower. I can’t believe they took so much time to do so much for us. My pastor’s wife made all the food and one of the ladies daughters made us “T” cookies and cupcakes. The cupcake flavors were incredible: chocolate with peanut butter mousse and lemon with blueberry mousse and both with cream cheese frosting. Simply amazing! So blessed by our church and so thankful for such incredible people and that baby T will be surrounded by such a great church family.

So that’s basically everything for now! I had my 31 and 33 week routine appointments. Everything looked wonderful and I’m so grateful for such a good pregnancy. My biggest complaint is being achy, but I feel like that’s so norma since I’m carrying around a little human in my belly. I’m still going to Pure Barre a few times a week and it’s been great. Getting a bit harder each week, but there are all sorts of modifications for pregnancy that have been super helpful. Now, I’m 34 weeks and we have less than 6 weeks until our due date. Getting so excited to meet our little guy & can’t wait for you all to meet him too 🙂

Xoxo,

Lex
