Top 5 Meals for Busy Families

Here are our top 5 meals for busy families. I know sometimes dinner can sneak up on you if you don’t have a plan. We used to be able to get away with this, but now since having kids it’s so much easier to have a plan so we don’t opt for takeout! Which is totally fine, but we try to eat at home as much as possible and save takeout for special nights. So here are some simple and easy recipes that the whole family will hopefully love!

  1. Broccoli & Cheddar Chicken Skillet– The whole family absolutely love this one, plus who doesn’t love cheesy broccoli?
  2. Sheet Pan Chicken Sausage & Veggies- The kids actually love chicken sausage so this is an easy one. We always serve with a side of sourdough and butter.
  3. Simple Whole Roasted Chicken- A family favorite that we make weekly or biweekly. It’s easy to just add veggies on the bottom so the meal is complete. We also usually have leftovers for lunch!
  4. The Easiest Meatballs Subs- The coziest dinner! You can serve it the meatballs on subs or over pasta. Whatever you prefer. A very easy meal for busy families.
  5. Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas This is a great one for the whole family. We always serve with a side of quesadillas for the boys!

Some Favorite Kitchen Tools for Easy Cooking:

  • Crockpot- We use a crockpot all the time! It’s one of our favorite kitchen items. You can’t go wrong having one for so many things!
  • Cast Iron- We basically only cook in cast iron skillets at this time. It’s perfect for everything, they’re nontoxic, and durable.
  • Sheet pan- These are our favorite sheet pans!
  • Dutch oven- The prettiest white dutch oven with a gold knob that works great. We love it.
